My name is Peter Hui, born in Hong Kong and raised in Singapore, I was raised in a first-generation Christian family. My family accepted Christ not long before I was born and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour at the age of 7. I began drawing as early as I could remember, copying cartoons for my friends in kindergarten.

 

My first encounter with the Bible was actually through the picture bible written by Iva Hoth and illustrated by Andre Le Blanc. The amazingly detailed pages took by breath away and I was drawn to the bible stories. I loved that book so much that I would sit and read through the picture bible for hours.

As I grew older, I began to pursue graphic design and taught myself design and illustration. I have been working in Cornerstone Community Church as a graphic designer for 9 years. The experience serving in church, discussing bible scriptures with my pastors and teaching in bible study groups proved to be invaluable.

I am happily married to my amazing wife and we have a son called Isaac!

 

My hope is that through The Pictorial Book of Genesis, people would fall in love with the Bible and grow in their walk with God.
